Symbolic signs of the concept "star" in the Russian language picture of the world

The concept «star is found in commonly used forms of language - phrases, idioms, proverbs, sayings and riddles, significant for Russian culture. In this article, the authors consider the features of the objectification of symbolic signs of the concept «star» in the Russian language picture of the world. The authors use the methods of conceptual linguistic and cultural analysis. On the factual material from the National Corpus of the Russian language, as well as the symbol dictionaries, conceptual metaphors characteristic of the verbalization of symbolic signs are analyzed. Among them there are some selected symbolic signs of the concept «star» in the Russian conceptual system: “soul”, “symbol of fate”, “eye of god”.
