Symbolic or figurative-symbolic language was the main means of communication in the mythopoetic collective consciousness of predynastic Egypt. It raised all the phenomena of earthly life to the acts of the mythical creation of the world in primordial times as a sacred model reproduced in rituals. It was the rituals that were supposed to restore the world order, lead to the victory of the cosmos - the main value of culture over chaos. The main sources for studying the socio-cultural life of the preliterate period of Egypt are pictorial and archaeological sources that play the role of symbolic texts. The aim of the article is to interpret a sample of material objects in the context of the cultural and historical development of the predynastic time, which served as the basis for the further development of Egypt during the time of the pharaohs.
