The symbolical character of arts and crafts language as expression of world perception of the Dnieper region peoples

The article deals with symbolization questions by case study of the tapestry crafts of the Dnieper region peoples in the framework of the design philosophy. The research focuses on the tapestry as a symbol of identity of the Dnieper region peoples. The authors consider arts and crafts as specific symbolical activities reflecting the features of outlook of the Dnieper region peoples. It is shown that the arts and crafts of the Dnieper region peoples embraces both canonical and contemporary art forms, which is an evidence of transformations of the art culture of this region.
