Symbolics of the colour in the narrative a chip by V. Ya. Zazubrin

The article considers the poetics of V.Ya. Zazubrin's prose in the aspect of the symbolics of the colour based on the example of his narrative A Chip (1923). The article reveals the role of the colour in the creation of an image-bearing system of this literary work. The author of the article expresses an idea that the usage of the colour symbolics by the communist writer is stipulated by the influence of the modernist aesthetics at the beginning of the 20th century. The analysis of the colour system of the narrative helps to clarify the idea and the problems of this literary work, the author,s position and his manner.
