The specific gravity of lesions of the organs of the hepatopancreatoduodenal zone (GPDZ) increases rapidly every year. Of the number of diseases of the surgical profile, abdominal pathology in frequency is second only to acute appendicitis. The most common complication is mechanical (synonym: subhepatic, obturation, stagnant) jaundice (MF). Diseases of GPDZ are one of the most complex sections of surgery. The main manifestation of the pathology of the organs of the GPDZ is the violation of bile passage in 12PK. In this article, the main points of the pathological effect of MF on the body are considered.
