The article deals with expressive means of syntax in the texts of the Anglo-Saxon spells. The suggestive nature of the texts is determined by its pragmatic orientation and is provided by syntactic constructions - repetitions, parallelisms, polysindeton, and other techniques that create a suggestive effect.
