The ecological-floristic classification results of the South-Ural region petrophytic steppes in this paper ere present. All variants petrophytic steppes belong to the class Festuco-Brometea, two orders (Festucetalia valesiacae and Helictotricho- Stipetalia), the two unions, and eight associations. A comparison of the floristic composition and ecology investigated syntaxa was made.
