The history of spreading classification vegetation in accordance Braun-Blanquet approach in USSR and Russia is shown. The characteristics of five scientific syntaxonomical centers of Russia have been given. The perspectives of development of the syntaxonomy and perspectives of its usage for goal improve system of natural conserves, dynamic vegetation investigation and vegetation cartography are discussed.
