Treatment of 6-phenyl-2-thiouracil with chloro acetanilydes containing various substitutes in aromatic cycle led to 2-[(1,6-dihydro-6-oxo-4-phenyl-2-pyrimidinyl)thio]-N-phenylacetamides with a 35-81 % yield. These compounds are potential anti-HIV-1 agents.
