Examples of application of pinch-technology for solving problems of structural optimization of technical systems are considered. In particular, it is proposed to use the processes of thermochemical conversion of fuels to ensure the possibility of heat integration in the internal combustion engine. In the article, technical solutions for the utilization of low-grade heat of the intercooler of the second stage by the modification of the design of the utilization module of cogeneration units are presented, which allow increasing the efficiency of the JENBAHER cogeneration plants of the sixth model range by 2.5% on average.
