The use of information and analytical subsystem for accounting components of donor blood in the hospital with barcodes allows providing transfusion safety, reducing a number of incompatible blood transfusions and a number of post-transfusion complications. Other effects are: reducing of complexity of the processes related to the selection and transfusion of blood, raising staff productivity, using paperless technology.
