Indicators system of sustainable development as an instrument of municipal entity management

On the example of the Volgograd city the authors analyse the problem of effective realization of sustainable development strategic plan of a municipal entity. This realization requires a permanent monitoring of the current processes according to defined factors of sustainable development in order to opportunely correct emergent divergences. The authors' system of indicators characterizes the processes in question in terms of quantity and quality, helps to understand the necessity of integrated approach to ensure sustainable city development and correlation between its components, as well as to systematically define prospects for sustainable development of the Volgograd city.
