Quality control system for development of design and estimate documentation based on project management methods

In modern conditions of tight design deadlines and a wide range of design organizations on the market with different work experience, the customer faces an important aspect of ensuring the quality of design documentation developed for capital construction of highways and the construction industry as a whole. Disadvantages of engineering surveys and design are transformed into technical, financial, time problems in the implementation of objects . The article presents an example of the use of simple and effective solutions (control tools) to improve the quality of project documentation, built on the methods of project management and successfully applied in the practice of the "Southern Baikal" Roads Authority for the objects of design and survey work on the territory of the Republic of Buryatia, Irkutsk oblast and Zabaykalsky Krai, allowing to avoid the use of sub-optimal design solutions and ineffective spending of state budget funds.
