System of SPNA in the Volgograd region and Krasnodar region: comparative aspect

The work raises the topical issue of the features of the protected areas systems of Krasnodar Krai and Volgograd Oblast, compares their structure, and assesses the pace of reform through analysis and comparison. Thus, within the framework of the conducted study, it was established that the protected areas systems of both regions have unique categories due to the features of the regions themselves. Common problems are also noted: violation of environmental legislation (illegal construction and extraction of natural resources, etc.). An equally significant problem is the environmental incompetence of the main consumers of natural resources - tourists, recreationists. At the same time, it should be noted that the regulatory authorities regularly monitor the activities of protected areas (and the environmental institutions themselves - self-examination).
