This work presents a support system for modeling socio-economic processes based on an open source platform. This system follows the approach of the ECOMOD system developed in the scientific School by A. A. Petrov, member of RAS, corresponding member of RAS, and Ph.D. L. Ya. Pospelova together with the workers of the Computing Center of RAS. The current implementation of the support system differs from the previous one by using open solutions, unlike commercial solutions (Maple, Matlab, etc.). This determines the specifics of the tasks that arise when creating a modeling support system. This article describes the proposed approach to the input and output of the mathematical model, the description of agent decision-making and agents’ interactions, technological means of working with the mathematical model. The system allows one to describe a set of several agents, the behavior of each of which is described by rational optimal decision-making or scenario, the ability to combine their descriptions into a complex system of nonlinear relationships, which is difficult to write down without errors in mathematical expressions on paper or on a computer. The system includes elements for verifying the correctness of the model record.
