The system of priorities in centralised planning

On the basis of the writings of Soviet economists, who described theoretical and empirical studies, the author carried out an epistemological analysis of the doctrine of socialistic planning. In the mentality of socialistic planners, material production prevailed over intellectual production, and investments had precedence over current consumption. The preference was given to investment into physical capital while investments into human capital assets had a subordinate role. But these theoretical calculations could differ signifcantly from real challenges of economic growth which emerged as a result of pressure from quasi-market of labour and lobbying of interest groups.
