The system of exercises to overcome the absolute nature of national sociocultural stereotypes in foreign languages teaching

The author deals with the phenomenon of national stereotypes in foreign languages teaching within thepositionof the intercultural approach and, in particular, points the absolutizing nature of stereotype as thebasic problem ofintercultural contact. The article offers the author’s system of exercises, worked out specially to overcome the absolutenature of stereotypes at language faculty, considers the typological groups and kinds of exercises.
