The effectiveness of the functioning of the national economy in the system of world economic relations implies the development of each country's own monetary policy. Currency regulation is one of the main means of implementing the state's currency policy. Currency regulation is defined as the activity of state bodies aimed at regulating the procedure for performing currency transactions. The importance of the system of currency regulation, the existence of problems in this area and the need to solve them, the prospects and directions of its further development indicate the relevance of research in this area. The article analyzes the functioning of the currency regulation system in Russia and formulates the directions of its development.
