Taxonomy of the Veronica L. genus in the north of the Lesser Caucasus

The territory of Azerbaijan is distinguished by a wide variety of vegetation. Most of the 5,000 plant species described in Azerbaijan grow in the north of the Lesser Caucasus. The composition of the Veronica L. genus, Plantaginaceae family has been studied. During the work, 21 species, 2 subspecies were identified. There are 200 species of this genus throughout the world, 53 in the Caucasus, and 40 in Azerbaijan. The work provides a systematic annotated list of all identified species of the Veronica genus.
