Language consistency, ecology of communication and humanitarian constituent of education: devoted to the 85th anniversary of professor A. P. Skovorodnikov

The present article gives a brief overview of the major scientific theories and ideas developed by Professor Aleksander P. Skovorodnikov, such as the system of expressive syntactic constructions analyzed in the syntactic fields in speech in the Russian language; the system of rhetorical devices viewed as a deliberate and pragmatic deviation from the language norm; the idea of humanitarian constituent of the educational process in modern innovative Russian University. The concept "linguistic ecology" as an interdisciplinary branch of contemporary linguistics (language ecology and speech ecology involved) and the theory of systematic approach to the development of the basic components of the lingo-cultural competence of undergraduate students are also covered in the article. Here it is confirmed that the concept of language system still remains to be prevailing and dominating in all the theories and ideas mentioned above, thus serving as the evidence and manifestation of the complete devotion of the outstanding philologist to Science. The conceptual findings of Aleksander P. Skovorodnikov are published in different types of publications, such as the course book "Russian language and speech culture", encyclopedic reference books "Expressive means of the Russian language and speech errors" and "Effective speech communication (basic skills set)" under Skovorodnikov's editorship.
