The principles of the organization of application of digital modeling on the basis of integration 1D, 2D, 3D, 4D of methods are considered. It is shown that application of the perspective directions of development of information systems of digital modeling of software and their integration with computer-aided engineering systems and production managements allows to increase overall performance of staff of the industrial enterprise due to creation of uniform system of storage and data management about production and resources of the enterprise during their life cycles, to reduce expenses and the profit missed by the enterprise because of inefficient use of information, to increase labor productivity of end users of information systems, etc. System requirements and necessary professional competences of experts for organizationally-functional activity in the field of digital modeling of software are defined. Is defined how necessary conditions for formation and maintenance of the specified competences of the real state, the organization of basic department of information technologies (IT) of higher education institution on the basis of machine-building enterprise. It is noted that the IT basic department will allow forming a set of competences at the students necessary for machine-building enterprise. Results of work can be used at training of specialists on IT and at the organization of basic departments at machine-building enterprises.
