Classification systems in monastic libraries of medieval Europe

Бесплатный доступ

The study of the structure and methodological foundations of classification schemes is based on the analysis of the works of Marcian Capella, Boethius, Alcuin, Cassiodorus, Isidore of Seville, Hugo of St. Victor and Vincent of Beauvais. Special attention is paid to the classification schemes of literature in the collections of libraries of monastic orders (Benedictines, Dominicans and Augustinians). The results of the study complement the theory and history of the study of catalogues and systematization of literature.
