An innovative type of educational activity can serve as an important stage in the development of modern managers. The plot-and-game approach presupposes the practice of spiritual transformation of the student "beyond the limits" of self-identification. The process of game modeling in the educational process is considered. As an example, the structure of the game model for the development of managers and the methodology for applying the system of assessing the performance of participants in the game by several parameters are given.
