Throughout much of the Volzhsko-Kamsky region edge Osprey has always been and remains a rare views, with the exception of Perm Krai and Mordovia, Tatarstan, where the birds were common in the early 20th century. Since the mid-20th century notes the widespread downsizing, and the birds are becoming very rare, in Bashkortostan and Orenburg oblast do not nest. Now relatively prosperous situation in Nizhny Novgorod oblast and perm Krai, in these regions, there has been an increase in the number of breeding pairs. Osprey is listed in the red books of all subjects of the Volga Federal District, in the vast majority of the 1st category of rarity.
