Hidden threat of dairy farming - udder induration in cattle

Бесплатный доступ

The purpose of the research was to study the spread of induration in the conditions of a particular farm, to establish the etiology, symptoms, and offer effective therapeutic measures for this pathology in dairy cows during the milking period. The research results show that the proliferation of fibrous tissue in the first heifers in 82,6 % of cases is presumably associated with prolonged udder edema, in cows of the second and subsequent lactation with chronic subclinical mastitis, in 77,8 % of cases with hyperkeratosis of the nipples, in 60,4 % of cases with non-compliance of cows with the requirements of machine milking, in 1,0 % of cases with the presence of a previous injury. Complex treatment of udder induration in cows using Lidase parenterally at a dose of 1 ml / 70 kg and external use of a complex gel (Troxerutin+Dimexide - 1:1) 2 times a day for 14 days in 83,3 % of cases contributes to the temporary softening of the induced fraction and the preservation of milk productivity for the period of milking is 22,9 % higher than in the control.
