Schoolshooting as a form of extremism in the educational environment

Currently, the educational environment is exposed to a large number of negative factors and threats, the dominant place among which is occupied by extremism, which is reflected, among other things, in schoolshooting, which is facilitated by the presence of a number of unresolved problems. The author focuses on the determinative complex that generates schoolshooting, and argues for the need to counteract schoolshooting precisely by combating the determinants of the phenomenon under study indicated in the article. The key conclusion of the study is the author’s thesis that in order to ensure a high level of safety in educational institutions, it is necessary to take all possible preventive measures for this, and the fight against schoolshooting should be the basis of such prevention. Countering schoolshooting should be carried out by applying an integrated approach; solving this problem requires the involvement of a large number of subjects (parents, psychologists, teachers, heads of educational organizations, government representatives, etc.).
