School shooting in educational institutions as a particularly dangerous phenomenon of modernity, prevention and counteraction to unmotivated terrorist actions

The tragic events that occur in cases of school shooting in the Russian Federation today have increased the interest of various Russian and foreign researchers, as well as the public, in trying to understand this especially dangerous phenomenon of our time. The paper gives a definition of school shooting and establishes the beginning of its spread. An analysis of the 2018-2021 data samples about the involvement of the Russian audience in communities with destructive content is presented. The results of a study of psychological and psychiatric expertise on the identification of the characteristics of adolescents who are exposed to destructive ideas are given, and a number of warning factors are highlighted. In the course of ethnographic research, the subculture of school shooting is identified, within which groups with different types of behavior are described. The main and additional motives of attacks on educational institutions are identified, and additional signs contributing to the attack are investigated. The methods of prevention and counteraction to unmotivated terrorist actions are proposed.
