The features of end-to-end technologies in healthcare and related medical education are examined. Particular attention is paid to the analysis of the concept of digital innovation. The authors identified two main approaches within this concept, which are related to the broad and narrow interpretation of the term. The regulatory framework of digital innovations in Russia, which determines the problems and limitations of the study of the issue, is considered. The current stage of the digital transformation of the healthcare system in the Russian Federation is characterized, the national and sectoral features of this area are identified as an area of mixed digitalization, which retains a significant role of the traditional business model to achieve the goal of improving the quality and accessibility of medical care. The problems of digital transformation of medical education are shown in the context of its staffing, which requires solving the problems of forming digital competencies among the main subjects of change.
