The article contains the description of the word NET, which acts as a predicate in an impersonal sentence (net Gen) in Russian oral discourse. Analysis of the material - the Corpus of the Russian oral everyday speech “One Day of Speech” (ORD) reveals all the options for the ratio of the external stimulus / speech act of the speaker (different types of question, statements or absence of an external stimulus), and the response of the listener or the speaker himself (speech acts of representative / constative, question, echo question, etc.). Analysis turned out that the word NET in oral everyday speech does not always serve as a way of expressing the speech act of a negative reaction, it is often used to express the representative / constative or included in the structure of a specific grammatical construction.
