We study two versions of translation of "The Song of Igor's Campaign", one of which is belong to a researcher of ancient literature V. Isakov, and the second - a poet and translator V. Zhukovsky. Each of them had their own idea of "faithful" translation: V. Isakov sought to "approximate" the text to the reader. A. Zhukovsky - translated literally to keep the "spirit" of the original.
