Surgical treatment of postoperative ventral hernia remains a topical problem of abdominal surgery. Combination of the same ventral hernia with suppurative complications of concomitant diseases of the abdominal cavity makes it even more difficult for surgical treatment. The purpose of this publication is to demonstrate the effectiveness of combined hernioplasty in a patient with a large ventral hernia and purulent complications of Crohn's disease on the background of insulin-dependent diabetes mellitus. It has been established that the method of abdominal wall reconstruction, combining plastic with local tissues with autodermoplasty, is effective, low-cost, can be used when the possibilities of alloplasty are limited due to inflammatory phenomena in the field of surgical intervention.
