Does the unification of the territories reduce their conflict potential and controllability: an analysis of the case-studies solved by undergraduate students

The paper offers a problematization of the process of merger of municipalities on the example of the Big Balashikha, Moscow region. It was assumed that the consolidation of this urban agglomeration would bring a positive result for all the subjects of the political process. The article focuses on the analysis of the political aspects of the decision on territories unification in the educational case study «Identification of political interests during the preparation for unification of the regions (territories) on the example of Balashikha and Zhelesnodorozhnyi, Moscow Region», in which the bachelors tried to solve the problem.
