Observance of socialist legality by the internal affairs bodies (militia) officers of the RSFSR (1945-1949) in the fight against crime

The article is devoted to socio-economic state of the USSR after the Great Patriotic War as the cause for a difficult crime situation and the activities of officers of the internal affairs bodies, as a result of which, by 1948, the situation was reversed. At the same time, it is noted that the contradictory legislative policy of the Soviet state and the difficult personnel situation in law enforcement agencies were often the reasons for violation of the law, drunkenness and other defamatory actions that existed along with the courage and decisiveness of officers of the internal affairs bodies.
