Property as a factor of social space structuring

The article reveals the peculiarities of property and social space interaction. This predetermines the analysis of property as sociological phenomenon, which opens its characteristics on the base of the subject as owners being in the social space. Being one of space characteristics, the property on the base of its subjects’ activity expands the cells of the space - spheres of possessing and managing the subjects, and satiates these spheres with new structures, meanings, changing the status of this space structures. It affects the system of all existing institutes and relations, changing their common configuration. Concretely revealing this interaction, the authors investigate such notions as “property”, “social space”, “social structure”. In the notion “social space” the accent is made on the mode of action and position of subjects in the space. The authors introduce the notion “space of property” as a relation of a subject to it status - economical, political, social, cultural and so on. The authors note that the property is the specific field, or relation in the social space, which runs through any of its structures and thereby forms face of social space of specific epoch. Basing on P. Bourdieu’s concept of social space, according to which it is understood as forces redistribution (of capital, etc.), carried out by social actors, as well as supporting the concept of property functional nature, developed by I.G. Afanasyeva, the authors reveal the mechanism of properties influence on the social system on the base of characteristics of social space as a bearer of properties influence.
