The combination of a point-rating system and distance educational technologies as a means of improving the quality of mathematical training of students of correspondence education

The purpose of this article is to describe the results of the analysis of the specifics of distance learning in the Russian Federation, its positive and negative aspects for students and teachers, the practice of using distance learning technologies in the learning process of part-time students and the point-rating system for evaluating the results of educational achievements. An educational and methodological complex for studying mathematical disciplines by students of correspondence courses is described. The experience of using the point-rating system for evaluating the educational achievements of students in several higher educational institutions, described in various scientific articles, is analyzed. The positive experience of using distance learning technologies in the learning process in combination with a point-rating system of assessment is given. It is concluded that this combination allows to increase the time of communication between the teacher and students, improve the control of students’ independent work, as well as increase the objectivity of assessing their educational achievements and the quality of education in general.
