Essay as a means of speech development of younger students in Russian lessons

The problem speech development of younger students in Russian language lessons through composing is considered. It is emphasized that from the first grade, the composition of small emotional and vivid stories gradually develops into serious mental work, which is clearly planned, thereby developing the child’s intelligence, awakens emotions, teaches younger students to comprehend and evaluate what they have experienced, teaches them to observe and compare, draw conclusions. It is noted that an essay in primary school occupies a special place, since all other speech exercises are subordinate to it only when writing essays, a student of primary school age can get as close as possible to the natural conditions of speech utterance.
