Socialization of preschool children as an area of musical educational work in kindergartens

The article advances a thesis that music classes and leisure activities can support the social development of children, first of all, development of social emotions. It is emphasized that children develop the ability to empathize and understand own emotional states, moods and feelings of other people in the course of music classes. The author believes that an educative aspect may be included in the content of music lessons and leisure activities as a significant supplement of social education of preschool children. It is concluded that the longterm planning of social educational work promotes the positive effect.
