Social adaptation of first-year students: from anomie to deviation

Бесплатный доступ

The article raises the issue of the manifestation of deviant behavior by first-year students in the process of social adaptation at the university. The adaptive mechanisms of higher educational institutions are determined and the forms of manifestation of deviant behavior as opposed to adaptive practices are considered. The theories of E. Durkheim and R. Merton are analyzed, and it is concluded that in the process of social adaptation, students may experience a state of anomie, which may subsequently lead to the manifestation of deviant behavior.
