Social adaptation of the graduates from the family supporting centers for orphans and children without parental care

The study discusses the social adaptation of orphans and children without parental care in Primorsky Krai. Social adaptation is one of the main issues addressed by the Family Supporting Centers for Orphans and Children without Parental Care. The research describes the scope of activity of the above-mentioned centers in Primorsky Krai. The paper emphasizes its innovative component that is the system of the post-out-of-home care adaptation. Based on the sociological researches, the authors reveal that there are many problems hindering social adaptation of center alumni. According to the interviewed experts, the center alumni face such major difficulties as housing, vocational, social and psychological adaptation resulting in other serious problems, for example, violation of law, starting a family, preservation of health.
