Social identity in conditions of contemporary Russian society modernization

The article is devoted to the analysis of peculiarities of social identity formation in contemporary Russian society. The authors show that the formation of Russian identity is stipulated a lot by a specific character of modernization processes of contemporary society. Identity crisis is closely connected with a tendency for globalization which leads in its turn to identity expansion.
