Social card as a new financial and social tool for increasing efficiency and targeting of social support measures

The article is devoted to the review of the effectiveness and prospects for the application of the "social card" as one of the financial and social instruments that contribute to increasing the efficiency of budget expenditures, the development of a transparent and understandable social protection system for the population, and the effectiveness of targeted social support measures. The advantages of using the system of social cards for its participants, including for the population, financial institutions, and the economy of the region were determined and justified. An analysis of the expenditures of social institutions has been carried out and a tendency has been revealed to increase the interest of institutions of this sphere in developing information and communication technologies. The application of the "social card" will not only contribute to improving the efficiency of budget expenditures at all levels, but also to the growth of social justice in the country - the main indicator of the development of the economy as a whole.
