The article describes the main provisions of the concept of doing business, taking into account the expectations of social responsibility. It is shown that the strategic format of business development in a situation of severe resource constraints is often inferior to tactical concerns about the personal benefit of asset owners and the desire to maximize profits. The motivation of Russian entrepreneurs in the implementation of forms of social responsibility, consistent with the historical experience of Russia.
