The article is devoted to the analysis of the activities and statements of the Polish party “Law and Justice” in the social sphere, as well as an assessment of these activities for classification as populist. The statements of leaders and political events of the ruling party on issues related to supporting family, childhood, the elderly, youth, and reproduction are considered. The author draws attention to the combination of conservative rhetoric and traditionally left-wing social measures, and concludes that currently the Polish example complicates the modern understanding of populism in connection with the consistent implementation of sharp declared promises in the social sphere.
