This article discusses the French weekly Charlie Hebdo, positioning itself as a publication of sharp social satire aimed at ridiculing politicians, right-wing, Islam and Christianity. The editorial policy of the French magazine is based on the fact that there is no forbidden topics for jokes. Today, Charlie Hebdo is sold in all the country's newsstands. It is believed that the popularity of the magazine is associated with the traditional love of the Frenchmen to cartoons and comics. Despite the indignation of the Frenchmen themselves, placing in social media comments that Charlie Hebdo’s “pictures" show a moral decay of France only, the magazine has a lot of supporters, as evidenced by its dramatically increased circulation.
