The concept of social situation of development is considered. It is demonstrated that social situation of development may be served as a criterion for periodization of psychological development in adulthood. The social situation of development is considered as a holistic multilevel system of person's attitudes. The paper presents findings of the relations between different levels of social situation of development in middle adulthood.
