Cadets’ social anxiety in regard to psychological protection

Basing on the practical research the authors reveal the problems of social anxiety as a factor of emotional instability in the cadets’ learning process. It is proved that anxiety is an integral part of studying and therefore can not be unambiguously considered as a negative state. The cadets emotionally experience stresses, try to avoid anxiety substituting the solution of apparently difficult tasks with the easier and more accessible current ones. It is noted that cadets prefer regression, displacement and projection as the means of psychological protection.
