Social protection of employees in market labor conditions

This article examines the reasons for the emergence of social protection, the concept of social protection in a market economy, the organizational and economic foundations of social security and insurance, as well as the organization of economic activities of social services. The social security of the population in the conditions of transition to the market requires the differentiation of social support by income level, degree of working capacity, and in some cases-by the principle of employment in public production. Some segments of the population need special social programs.
