Social significance of forest food resources (on the example of a survey of rural residents in the Primorsky territory)

The article presents the results of a survey of residents of the central part of Primorye on the collection and preparation of wild plants. The respondents noted that they are engaged in the collection and procurement of food forest resources and medicinal herbs for their own needs and sale in the markets in order to improve the financial situation of their families. Almost all respondents agreed on the need to organize reception centers and procurement and processing enterprises, which will significantly increase the collection of wild food products. The creation of procurement centers will contribute to the creation of new jobs, which is very important with the growing unemployment in rural areas.
