Social and philosophical aspects of Buddhism expansion in Kalmykia

The analysis of social reasons and social and philosophical grounds in the formation and expansion of Buddhism in Kalmykia is carried out in the article. Different aspects of interrelations between Buddhism, Russian Orthodox Church and official Russian state power bodies in the territory of the region are considered.
