The article deals with the statements of the Russian extrachurch religious and philosophical thought of the late 19th - early 20th centuries, related to the themes «man - nature», «man -cosmos». It is mainly about the works of the representatives of Russian cosmism and metaphysics of unity, with particular attention paid to the interaction of man (microcosm) and the world as a whole, that influence on contemporary social and ecological ethics and philosophy of global problems. Cosmism is regarded as one of the areas of the world culture, in which organic synthesis of different approaches is consistently developing the idea of perfection of man in his relations with the natural world and with the Cosmos as a whole. Metaphysics of unity and cosmism are based on the idea of the creation of the world by God, the creative force embedded by Creator in the world. These ideas of Russian cosmism thoughts are expressed and continued in the current social and environmental ethics and philosophy of global problems combining here with the search for synergy, paradigm of non-linear thinking.
